The "Gener Neuv" restaurant isset in the heart of the Piedmont region on the left bank of the river Tanaro,amidst the natural beauty and calm tranquillity of the surrounding countryside.The restaurant, which dates back to the early part of this century, wasoriginally a traditional trattoria run by "Gener", the typicalfisherman of the village. The Fassi family ( with Piero Fassi in the diningrooms, his wife Pina and daughters Maria Luisa and Maura in the kitchen) took over in 1971 and completely refurbished the restaurant in keepingwith the original style. Thevarious rooms of the restaurant, which were
furnished by Antonio Guarene,have become the perfect place to discover the pleasures of everyday lifewhile enjoying the prestige of a long - established tradition. Gener Neuvis one of Italy's most famous restaurants and a favourite meeting placefor international dishes inspired by home cooking matched with fine wines.Between September and Decamber, Pina Fassi uses the rare, highly perfumedwhite truffles of the Langhe and Monferrato areas to enhance and enrichher own creations.
